Tony Matelli
Sculptor of hyper realistic forms, often of painted metal, Tony Matelli is best known for “Sleepwalker”, installed in 2014 at Wellesley College, and again in 2016 on the High Line in NYC. The work, consisting of a semi-clothed, life-sized figure—a sleepwalking man—caused controversy in both settings.
In the fall of 2017, we cast several glass limes in various forms as part of an upcoming installation in London.
