Robert Gober
Ross Art Studio's glass fabrication work for Robert Gober spans more than twenty years. We cast a pair of large fruit bowls and and a series of lead crystal objects for "Untitled 2005", at Matthew Marks. The installation was purchased by MoMA and it made up part of that museum’s 2014 Gober retrospective "The Heart Is Not a Metaphor". For the "Table Talk" pie box we slumped a very thin layer of glass over a plaster mold to create the cellophane look.
For a subsequent Gober project, we cast an edition of lead crystal hearts for the artist, which were used in a work called "Creek Bed", installed at the Fondazione Prada in Milan.
