ARLENE SHECHET

Arlene Shechet’s "Out of the Blue" series consists of several hundred feet of crystal glass rope. Actual rope was used to create the molds from which the glass was cast. In parts of the installation the glass rope appears to weave in and out of the wall.

The work has been exhibited at Shoshana Wayne Gallery, in Santa Monica, and was featured in "Vitreous Bodies: Assembled Visions in Glass", a group show at the Bakalar & Paine Galleries of Mass College of Art in early 2017.
